The Draft is the most exciting point of any offseason. The biggest offseason and preseason story lines are how are the rookies going to impact their teams and should they succeed in their careers, the first year is always well remembered among legends.
1. HOUSTON TEXANS:
Jadeveon Clowney/DE (South Carolina)
Some players are NFL ready. Some are not. Some are more likely to fail than succeed in the pros. Some are gems found in late rounds. Then theres players like Clowney. The definite elite players who are simply the players YOU DO NOT PASS UP ON. Luck, Peyton, O.J., Elway, etc. To build a good team you need balance. The Texans lacked in one position last year and it certainly wasn't the defensive line. To win championships, you need to be exceptional. Clowney would make them exceptional. Do something great, Houston.
Will it happen: Yes
2. ST. LOUIS RAMS (thru Washington):
Greg Robinson/OT (Auburn)
Will it happen: Yes
3. JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS:
Johnny Manziel/QB (Texas A&M)
People have such a negativity toward Manziel due to his "partying" or "lack of focus". The dude is an absolute stud. Some players are cocky and have nothing to back it up like Richard Sherman a year ago. Manziel has a confidence I have never seen before and knows he still has more work to do. He is as electric as RGIII and can sling it just as well. Oh but he's short? People said the same thing about Russell Wilson, and he wears a ring.
Will it happen: No. I believe they will draft Bridgewater.
4. CLEVELAND BROWNS:
Blake Bortles/QB (Central Florida)
I would just like to offer my condolences to Cleveland fans. You guys have suffered enough. God's speed.
Will it happen: 50/50 on Bortles or Mack.
5. OAKLAND RAIDERS:
Teddy Bridgewater/QB (Louisville)
Will it happen: No. They will take Manziel if Teddy is taken. But knowing Oakland they will take a towel boy.
6. ATLANTA FALCONS:
Khalil Mack/OLB (Buffalo)
Mack is the 3rd best player in this draft behind Clowney and Robinson. I don't know why but there is just something telling me Atlanta will trade this pick...
Will it happen: Probably not. Mack will probably be taken before this by someone.
7. TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS:
Sammy Watkins/WR (Clemson)
Best receiver in the draft. With Williams out, Bucs will need to reload to give McCown someone to throw to.
Will it happen: Yes
8. MINNESOTA VIKINGS:
Mike Evans/WR (Texas A&M)
Will it happen: Yes
9. BUFFALO BILLS:
Jake Matthews/OT (Texas A&M)
Bills ranked bottom 5 in QB hits in 2013.
Will it happen: Doubt it. Matthews will probably be taken earlier. He is the 4th best player behind Mack.
10. DETROIT LIONS:
Ha-Ha Clinton Dix/FS (Alabama)
Will it happen: Yes
